EXPERIENCE 

 

The experience of 66 years of activity in the field of drilling, developing, completion and woekover, as well as special geological works could be emphasized the followings: 

 

  • Oil & Gas: Drilling, testing and completion of 357 wells with depths ranging from 800 m to 6,000 m (over 936,847 m);
  • Underground water reservoirs:
    • Water wells for testing, investigation and exploration, which have led to the identification of many groundwater aquifers (over 406,077 m);
    • Water wells drilling along with the production system used In numerous localities (app. 761,077 m with depth ranging between 100 m to 800 m);
    •  Drilling wells (100 to 500 m), exploited with 8 – 12 diameter submerged pumps, to lower the hydrostatic level ( over 280,000 m );

  • Geothermal water:  drilling, testing and completion of 239 wells with depths in the range of 1,200 – 3,500 m (over 346,435 m);
  • Ore deposits:
    •  over 3,800,000 m continuous coring in wells with depths between 100 and 1,800 m, performed in more than 500 fields;
    •  mining execution of: - over 286,000 m – research and exploration galleries;
    •  over 11,600 m – main and air shafts, air shafts with depths down to 500 m;
    •  over 6,900 m of gallery slopes, with 10-15 degree gradients and 300 – 600 m in length;
    •  drilling of 149 large diameter holes (1,220 – 4,978 mm) at depths between 50 and 379 m.;
  • Monitoring wells: Drilling of 1,200 wells totalizing over 225,000 m with depths between 20 and 320 m.
  • Overseas activities: In the last 30 years FORADEX S.A. has carried out a wide range of overseas drilling works, as contractor or subcontractor, providing its own equipment, tools and accessories and its experienced and qualified personnel. FORADEX S.A. fulfilled all its contractual obligations with excellent references and successfully carried out all overseas works to the satisfaction of the beneficiares/operators.
    •  - water wells in Zambia (over 317,311 m) and Libya (over 160,000 m) at depths between 100 – 1,200 m;
    • - Tanzania, Zambia, Peru: geological research for useful mineral ores – coal, gold, silver and non-ferrous – (over 36,000 m);
    •  - geothermal water wells and woekover in Greece (over 8,000 m) and Tunisia (over 24,976 m);
    •  - geophysical measurements and geological surveys;
    • - drilling and woekover for oil and gas in Kazakhstan and the Republic of Moldavia;
    •  - technical assistance in Algeria, Turkey, Yemen, Turkmenistan and Iraq.

PORTOFOLIO:

  • ALGERIA: 1968 – 1978, FORADEX supplied specialists and technical assistance for oil wells, for SONATRACH.
  •  Zambia: 1970 – 1973, FORADEX performed exploration works drilling through lead, zinc and copper deposits of SEBEMBERE, for the Ministry of Mining.
  • 1973 – 1990, FORADEX carried out geological exploration for coal, phosphate, radioactive minerals, iron, other kind of deposits and water well drilling for GEOMIN Bucharest. (Airports, for Christensen-Celle.)
  • 1990, FORADEX-Lusaka Branch drilled an impressive number of exploitation water wells all over the country. 
  •  GERMANY: 1970-1975, for Christensen-Celle, FORADEX supplied man-power and by using diamond-impregnated disck carried out works for highways and airports.
  •  PERU: 1972-1977, FORADEX carried out detailed exploration works (coring and mining galleries) for the complex sulphate deposits of ANTAMINA, located at 4,000-5,000 m altitude, for ANTAMINA JOINT VENTURE Co.
  •  LIBYA: 1979-1990, FORADEX performed exploration and production water wells and also deep piezometer and cathodic protected wells (200-1,600 m depth), for GENERAL WATER AUTHORITY, Municipality of KUFRA, TAZERBO, JALLO, JAGHBOUB, GHOT SULTAN Complex, etc.
  • 1990 – present, FORADEX – Benghazi Branch and FORADEX International Joint Venture Company carried out for production, exploration and cathodic protected water wells, FORADEX S.A. has also been involved in the Great-Man-Made-River-Project,as Subcontractor of DONG-AH CONSORTIUM, LAVALIN, CONDRILLAB.
  • IRAQ: 1980-1990, for IRAQ NATIONAL OIL COMPANY, FORADEX provided oil drilling specialists for works contracted by ROMPETROL Co.
  •  YEMEN: 1984-1988, FORADEX commissioned production potable and industrial water wells in ADEN and all over the country, for the Ministry of Water and Natural Resources.
  • GHANA: 1985-1987, FORADEX carried out exploration drilling works, for N’SUTA WACHAW’s manganese deposits, for GNMC.
  •  YUGOSLAVIA: 1988, FORADEX delivered diamond as well as drilling tools, for UNIVERZAL Co.-Belgrade..
  • TURKMENISTAN: 1988-1991, FORADEX SA carried out cathodic wells, for ROMPETROL in SOVETABAD TURKMENISTAN:
  •  GREECE: 1991-1992 FORADEX supplied technical assistance for geothermal wells, for PROJECT STUDIES AND MINING DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION S.A. (GEMEE-SA).
  •  SOUTH AFRICA: 1991-1992, FORADEX manufactured and supplied diamond-drilling bits.
  • TUNISIA: 1996 – present, FORADEX carried out exploration geothermal wells (8 wells maximum T.D. of 2,400 m) in Tozeur and Kebily District, mainly for the Ministry of Agriculture – “Comissariat Regional au Developpement Agricole”. The Ministry of Industry Phosphates National Co. Foradex performed one exploration geothermal well maximum T.D. of. 2,500 m.
  •  R. of MOLDAVIA: 1996-1999, FORADEX carried out drilling and woekover for oil and gas wells, for “REDECO” Moldova (subsidiary of REDECO Co-USA).
  • KAZAKHSTAN: 2001 – present, FORADEX has been the drilling contractor for there oil wells with 2,300 – 2,500 m max. T.D.
